Working under the art direction of Daniel Eatock we were asked to produce proposals for the cover of the forth coming Coldplay album titled X+Y. This proposal is for the plastic case to be made out of the recycled plastic of old cds. Within this material (seen below) tiny fragments of old cds are still recognisable echoing the importance of past influences in the production of new pieces of music. This process would mean every cd case produced would be unique as they would be made from different combinations of cds.
