The Allotment was a restaurant renovated and run by Design Products students from the RCA. The idea was that each time the restaurant opened the space would grow. We designed a poster that, by overprinting layers, echoed this growth. Unfortunately the restaurant space had to close down due to health and safety problems, but The Allotment carried on elsewhere. Thankfully the poster was able to adapt to this unexpected outcome. The project was return payment for the Work for Work workshop that Martino Gamper ran during the Work in Progress show.
